The first time I met Heather and Jeremy was at Sugarland Bakery in Chapel Hill. They have to be the most easy going people I know, they were SO much fun to talk to. We all connected immediately as Heather and Jeremy eagerly recounted the tale of their romantic love story. Jeremy and Heather met (much to Heather’s initial dismay) at work, saving someone’s life! Heather was relatively new to the department at the time, and all everyone had to say about Jeremy was “we love Jeremy” “he’s such a great guy” …so when Heather met him in person for the first time, she had high expectations. He was incredibly witty, as brilliant as she had been told, and had even brought the nurses snacks. They took care of a patient together that neither of them will ever forget, and then didn’t see each other for weeks. They passed each other between shifts weeks later and he seemed really excited to see her, and a few days later reached out to Heather to see if she wanted to meet up for a drink, and the rest is history.
We went to Duke Gardens and the Historic Tobacco District in Durham for Heather and Jeremy’s engagement session. The weather turned out to be absolutely perfect, with just the right amount of cloud cover. For one thing, I could not get over Heather’s amazing skirt and beaded belt as you will see later on. Both Jeremy and Heather looked absolutely amazing! Besides that, the love that they share for each other is so beautiful and I cannot wait to photograph their wedding at the Cotton Room next year! Congratulations Heather and Jeremy!
