What is your name?
My full name is Chloe Marie Longhill Noblit.
Where are you from?
I have lived my entire life on a beautiful little farm about thirty minutes west of Chapel Hill, in Snow Camp, NC.
Why do you love photography?
I love the ability photography has to convey stories and relationships. A photograph can be lovely and artistic, but it’s the emotion and the story it tells that make it something to treasure. I love the challenge photography presents in that a photographer needs to possess both technical and artistic skills in order to capture those special moments.
What are you passionate about?
Growing up on a farm, I have always been very passionate about animals. My entire life I have been caring for and training the many kinds of animals on our farm, and there are few things that I find more rewarding. One of my goals is to raise more awareness about the need for shelter pets to be adopted.
What is your favorite non-photography blog?
I follow more youtube bloggers rather than traditional bloggers but one blog that I enjoy is LC Steele, a fashion and lifestyle blog. What makes it even better is that Lauren lives in Chapel Hill!
What is your favorite food?
My two absolute favorite foods are sweet potato fries and strawberry smoothies. I could only eat those two things for the rest of my life and be happy!
Who is your favorite music artist?
I can’t say that I have one favorite music artist above all the rest. I listen to a lot of pop, but I also love a lot of other kinds of music so it is hard to choose which genre, much less which music artist, I like the best! Someone that I always come back to, however, is Alison Krauss. I absolutely love her music!
Your favorite hobbies?
Some of my favorite hobbies include: aerial dance, singing, piano, riding horses, and learning American Sign Language.
What is your favorite treat? (dessert, etc)
My favorite dessert will always, always be ice cream! It is my firm belief that ice cream can solve the world’s problems.
What are you grateful for today?
Today, I am grateful for all of the wonderful opportunities that I have had, and continue to have. I am so very lucky to be able to pursue the things that I love, and to have the encouragement of my wonderful friends and family.
What is your current favorite book?
I am currently really enjoying reading a book called “Train Go Sorry” for my American Sign Language (ASL) class. The book is about the Lexington School for the Deaf and some of the students who have attended it. It’s such a fascinating book and it gives so many insights into Deaf culture.
What do you love about weddings?
Can I say everything? There are so many things I love about weddings! I love the First Look and the Ceremony but one of my favorite parts of the day is when the bride and her bridesmaids are getting ready. It’s not one of the really big events, like the ceremony, but it’s such a fun part of the day with so much excitement and anticipation!
Where would we find you on a Friday night?
You would probably find me at a restaurant in Carrboro or Chapel Hill with my family or friends. I enjoy having quiet evenings to myself at home, but I also love going to the movies, or going to see my friends’ or family members’ different bands play. I love living near Carrboro and Chapel Hill because there are so many fun things to do!
What’s something that no one knows about you?
Before I fell in love with photography, and knew I wanted to be a wedding photographer, I thought about being a personal trainer/nutritionist. I certainly do not always have the healthiest of habits (note my aforementioned love of ice cream!) but I love working out and at least trying to eat healthily!
