I absolutely love this couple! I first met Wendy and Burke at a local cafe and we instantly became friends. Wendy is so easy to talk with, and I love how Burke is so kind and genuine. Wendy and Burke both recently graduated from Elon University’s School of Law, and I couldn’t be happier for them! During all of my sessions, I love getting to know my couples. Of the many things we have in common, one of them is how much we absolutely love dogs and all animals for that matter! Wendy and Burke have two fur babies named Leo and Rosie. Despite having a class together their first year, sparks didn’t fly until Wendy and Burke connected during the Fall of their second year of law school. Both of them also share a memory of family pizza nights on Friday’s, which made for an easy choice for a first date! However, the Marshall Freehouse restaurant will always have an extra special place in their hearts, as this is where Burke proposed. Burke suggested they get dressed up and eat out at their favorite restaurant. Around 10pm after the crowd had left, Burke asked to have their picture taken by the fireplace, where he then dropped on his knee and proposed, resulting in an applaud from the entire wait staff!
This Spring we got together at Wendy’s family home in Cary for their engagement session. Earlier this year I had the chance to meet Wendy’s sister, Lauren, so it was wonderful meeting the rest of the family. We began their session in Downtown Apex, a cute little town that has such a quaint vibe. We all had so much fun walking around and looking at the charming storefronts. Next, we went to Buckhorn Farm where I got to meet Texas, Wendy’s horse!! I don’t think I could have been more excited. Besides being a huge animal lover, I got to photograph a stunning bride along with her prince charming and their white horse! What could better?! It was like I was capturing a moment made in heaven!
